Confessions of an ADD Housewife shared her FREE dresser makeover project…

This is a really cute Mother’s Day card idea from Create Really Awesome Free Things.  There’s still time!

Adventures in Creating shared here Land of Nod duvet cover knock-off.  I love how this turned out and she includes a great little tutorial.

Please feel free to share whatever you’ve been up to this week!

I’ve have so many project that I want to do and would love to be able to share, but so much work that I have to do.  This is probably the biggest difficulty of working at home.  It is so tempting to focus on sewing couch cushion slipcovers or some other home improvement project than on humdrum work, but I’ve been a good girl this week (so far) and work has won the battle.  I’m sure my customers will greatly appreciate that, since I’m quite sure most would prefer to receive their bags over seeing my couch slipcovered.

But, I’m sneaking in a minute to share a couple projects from last week and start this week’s party.  And, one of the first projects I want to share is this super cute spray painted entry rug from vixenMade.  Love this idea!

And, I love this copy-cat subway art from The Salvage Collection.

Please feel free to share whatever you’ve been up to this week!

Thingamajig Thursday is here again.  For some reason, Thursday morning keeps sneaking up on me.  I think about it all week long and remind myself to prepare for it, only to have the morning arrive without the party ready to go.  Bad party host.

Anyways, here are a few of the favorites from the last party….

Potholes & Pantyhose shared this yummy & easy (no raw fish) sushi roll recipe.

And, The Brown Eyes Have It, shared this super simple Air Fresher idea.

These nautical placement pillows from DIY Newlyweds are cute and simple to sew.  A great project for any beginning seamstress.

Great bathroom transformation from Little House in the Big D.  She shares lots of pictures, so you can follow along through the whole adventure.

Please feel free share any recent projects whether it be crafting, sewing, painting, redecorating, cooking or even woodworking.

The kids and I have been hanging out at my Mom’s in Texas this past week. It’s Spring Break in Colorado this week, so we took it as an opportunity to visit the family. My bonus is that the kiddos have spent the past two days with the ex in-laws, which means serious down time for me. Yesterday was spent outside cleaning and rearranging my Mom’s patio.  Of course, that wasn’t the plan when I walked out the door.  My original plan was to stain her outdoor center table to match her adirondack chairs.

This is it before.  Notice the bazillion leaves and oak thingy’s (scientific term) covering it and the ground?  Yeah, they were everywhere.  It’s impossible to see in the photo, but oak pollen (a lovely shade of green) is also layering everything quite nicely.  So what started with the wiping down of a simple table for staining  turned into an all day cleaning event.

But, I did eventually get to the table.  And, here it is in all it’s glory.  Now stained to perfectly match the chairs that were all stained last summer.  If you happen to notice the funkiness of the stain on the chair behind the table, you can give my mom credit for that little boo-boo.  When she was working on the chairs it was in last year’s crazy summer heat and I have a feeling the stain was probably drying within seconds of hitting the wood.  She’s never noticed it and may be if I sneak outside and fix it today, she never will.

Before we begin the party, here are a few of the favorite from last week.

Start at Home shared the completion of her awesome picture wall.

And, Haute to Sew, shared this super cute t-shirt headband.
